Back in Black

So after some downtime, we’re back up. Here’s the thing: I’m tired of being my own system administrator. It’s time for someone else to worry about it. I just don’t want to deal with it during law school. So I’m ditching my ol’ trusty server and going to a shared hosting setup. It’s about 1/10th of the price. That’s not bad either.

And I’m trying out a new XML-RPC based blog editor called ecto. It has an OS X version as well as a Windows counterpart. Frankly, the Windows version is pathetic compared to the OS X version. I couldn’t even get it configured with my WordPress blog. Oh well. The OS X version is plenty impressive.

With ecto, it’s a piece of cake to drop images in (straight from iPhoto, mind you). It automatically generates thumbnails and uploads the images.
