This Saturday was the big Nerf war. The epic battle was to celebrate Alex’s birthday. I dominated – if not tactically, then in style.
Yes, that’s a heart-mom tattoo in red Sharpie. The other arm read NERF. Back of the uniform: DEFCON ONE. Thankfully the shoe polish face paint came off. As of this writing, the tattoos are still visible. Not fully pictured: the jean cut-offs that I made for the battle.
Noah liked shooting, but not getting shot. And his main concern was his missing bullet.
Weston got a few kills.
And it was a birthday party, so of course we had cake. Gina made a (self-described) lame Nerf cake.

Adorable. Both the kiddo’s and your killer outfit… which, I recognize that you probably weren’t going for ‘adorable’ or ‘cute’ with those tat’s and all… but that is what happened: Adorable.
HAHAHA!! Oh man! I can’t even begin to describe how jealous I am of your nerf war. Fun!! I’m pretty sure I’m stealing the idea and we’re doing that for my 27th birthday…next year! Don’t worry, you’ll be invited. Hang on to that wicked cool battle uniform.
Dude, could you host a Nerf war here?
This is bringing back memories of Nerf wars in our basement – building forts of cardboard boxes, blankets, and paper bags – sometimes we’d play in the pitch dark and use those “indiglo” watches as little light bombs to reveal where the enemy was…good times
That uniform is an instant classic. I hope the heart-mom is still visible come classes
