Joni and I both had cars in DC and we had to get them back to Las Vegas. We decided to drive both the cars and caravan over I-40. Joni had memorized every feature of the back of my car by the time we reached Las Vegas. I don’t think she ever gained an appreciation for our walkie-talkies.

We were in a hurry so we didn’t make many stops. But we did get the state signs as we passed.

2,480 miles. We were in Las Vegas just a couple days before flying back to DC to attend graduation. So, starting with our San Francisco trip, that was 5 one-way trips across the country in just a couple weeks.
